Hey all

I'm running a G5 desktop and after recently choosing to install some recommended updates my machine will not get past the gray apple screen with the rotating \|/ thingy (hope the drawing gets the point across =P)
/|\ It will just hang up and I can hear the HD spinning but nothing happens. The light just keeps circling.

Anyway I tried using a 3rd party repair software to check my files and it says everything is normal. It repaireda few things but it didn't help.

Any idea on what to do? I'm thinking of picking up Leopard and installing it on top of my current OS, which is Tiger I believe. I have some programs installed the require license keys so I would prefer not having to reformat and doing a fresh boot.

Any help would be appreciated!
