anyone get significant Dex drainage yet? I haven't touched Dex (don't own one) and there isn't just a "Dex" app to disable in system apps. According to Gsam, it is included in a bunch of packages that would be too difficult to disable. I've rebooted, let's see if that helps...

These battery life posts are very encouraging to see. Anything close to 5 hour SoT is insanely good, in my opinion. My Nexus 6P averages 3 to 3.5 hours SoT at most.

Being someone that doesn't use my phone heavily, I believe that the Galaxy S8 / S8+ could last me one and a half, maybe two days between charges.

With my S8+, getting 3 hours of screen time is easy. In this screen shot, I got 13 hours of battery life, with 3 hours of screen time, and 5.5 hours of talk time. If not for the long amount of talk time, I could have easily gotten several more hours out of the battery.

let me know how it goes. my S8 isn't getting very good battery life. But I also don't turn everything off or keep it in ultra low power mode either. I actually like using my phone as a smart phone

I get pretty solid battery life, and I don't have anything turned off. I have my screen resolution all the way up, AoD on, bluetooth on, wifi on, VoLTE in use, location on, and I'm syncing 5 gmail accounts. Even with all this on, I still manage to get very solid battery life. With this phone, you don't have to gimp it to get good battery life.

I have been using my S8 plus mainly for streaming Apple Music all day at work so i only have about 2 hour SOT at the end of the day and im usually left with 60-70 percent battery. Pretty amazing if you ask me. If i use the screen heavily i can get 7 hours SOT no problems.

Battery sounds amazing on this device.
I been trying to decide between the Note 8 or the S8+...
Can’t decide as the major factor for me is the stylus. Could care less about the camera, but I think some of the features of the stylus are pretty neat!
