Hi,

I have an issue with GeekTool and icalBuddy. I'm sure there is a simple solution that I'm to blind to see, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have installed both GeekTool and icalBuddy because I would like to display upcoming events from ical (more precisely events from a subscribed GoogleCalendar in ical) on my desktop.

When I start a new shell on my desktop and paste the script
/usr/local/bin/icalBuddy
into the command field, everything works just fine and the default manual text is displayed (a short list of possible commands and so on). However, when I try to actually use these commands, nothing shows up.
eventsToday
doesn't work, nor does
eventsToday+7
nor anything else. The display status feedback image lights up red.

My Mac runs on El Capitan and German is set as the System language.

Many thanks in advance...

Hallo pebblo,

pardon this late answer; I only noticed it today.

I’ve been using GeekTool & icalBuddy for such a long time that I’ve forgotten all about how it was originally installed. The (working) command string that I’m using is
Code:
/usr/local/bin/icalBuddy -nrd -nc -sd eventsToday+9
I’m on macOS 10.14.3 / Swedish.

Please let us know if this helps.
