Hi, so here’s my problem. I don’t know wether to get the iPhone 11 Pro Max 64gb now for £36pm trading in my iPhone XR 64gb with Apple directly or to just wait for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I am wanting the Pro Max over the normal 6.1 11 range due to the bigger screen and it being lighter. If I wait for the 12 Pro Max will I be paying a lot more for it? Should I just get the 11 Pro Max now? Thanks a lot

12 Pro Max is rumoured to have the same price as an 11 Pro Max with the base storage being doubled to 128GB. I don't see a compelling reason to get an 11 Pro Max now, especially because the remaining stock will be discounted at certain retailers once the 12 Series launch.

I’d usually wait for the new one to come out and check my options then.

Unless your phone is broken to the point of being unusable, it is way too close to the next release to settle for last years phone. AND you’d be paying the same price, thats just insult to injury

OP- at this point, it'd be kinda silly to get it now. The price will drop once the new Max version is out and who knows, maybe the new version will have some feature you're interested in. IDK...

I would definitely wait for sure.

Quick, get it now before it goes down in price in a couple of weeks.

thank you for your smug remark it really helped me. The reason why I said get the 11 pro now was because I would have to get it on a payment plan with Apple directly as it’s much cheaper then getting it on a contract with a mobile network and I don’t know if it will still be there once the 12 pro comes out or even how much more the 12 pro will be on a payment plan

I'm getting a very serious dejavu feeling because this is the second or third thread just like this that I've seen over the last week. :)

It's a good question to ask. I don't think the 12 Pro is going to be that much more. It would be a real turn off to have it a "lot" more. $100? Maybe.

Only you can really answer this. Do you have to have the latest and greatest? The fact that you have an XR says, you're ok with not having the latest and greatest. The 11 Pro is going to last a long time and it is a great phone. I have the 11 Pro Max and no matter what the 12 has, I'd be happy with the 11 Pro Max for several more years.

That said, my wife and I are on the iUP (Apple Upgrade Plan) and it is just so easy to upgrade every year.

Well it seems you can still get the XR on a payment plan so I would assume whenever the 12 comes out, you can still get the 11 on a payment plan.

11 pro not 11. I won’t be able to get the 11 pro on a plan from Apple once the 12 pro is out that’s what I’m saying

You’re welcome. Why not buy it from a retailer and set your own payment plan up? You’ll pay full price with Apple now whereas elsewhere it’ll be £200-300 cheaper in 2 weeks time. There will be stick of the 11 Pro for a long time yet, long after Apple have stopped supplying it.
