That low end mac article is correct. The intel macs change everything for many including for sites like low end mac because now it seems that mac hardware will have lesser resale value for both PowerPC and Intel. PowerPC seems like it's going to be trounced this year especially when Intel finally releases their new 64-Bit chips. Looking for low end mac deals now will change especially at the end of the year. Will anyone get a G4 at $400 or $500...They might be worth $150 - $200 by the summer. The G5 will now start to lose value quicker than any apple architecture ever has. Unfortunately, some of us will still have to bite the bullet and still get a G5 for power performance since some Pro apps like adobe will take time to be converted. I also think by the end of the year the Quad will be equaled or trounced. Mac's resale value might never be the same again.
