I am soon starting a tech youtube channel. Any recommendations for a camera to start out with? My budget is 600 dollars max. Also, what are some good alternatives to Final Cut Pro?

If you have not create more than 10 video, stick with yr iPhone and iMovie.

The camera and software does not make too much difference when starting out....

You need in our budget to include lighting and audio... If the audio sucks in the first few seconds i move on to the next video..
Whatever camera you get learn to properly expose and focus. Don't rely on auto. Make sure it has an audio input for mics.

Editor - doesn't matter, it's how you use the tool. If I give you a 50K Avid setup it won't make the story any better. learn the tool and how to story tell.
