CarPlay Google Maps Waze Features

Has anyone tried this yet? Wonder if this means that Waze will eventually be morphed into Google Maps. I would imagine there not as many users reporting to Google Maps yet, like Waze, but interesting.

May depend on where you are....happened before where some folk have seen an update and others havent. Nothing you can do but wait for Google to deem you worthy of getting it.

Waze features still not available on Google Maps at least on my iPhone. Did anyone ever end up getting this?

Google Maps just updated for me and I now have the Waze-like features, specifically Speed Trap alerts which is the most important one.

Has anyone else been using this? Can you tell me if Google Maps acts like Waze with audio alerts when a Speed Trap is coming up? Can you let me know if these notifications happen anytime Google Maps is in the foreground or only if one is actually navigating somewhere?

I still don't have it. You are the first person that I have read having the features. Can you post how you like it and how it compares to Waze once you get to use it? Tks!

I can see these Waze-like features like Speed Traps and Road Hazards on Google Maps natively on the iPhone but not translated to the CarPlay screen.

Anyone have any idea when Apple (or Google) will implement this feature so that we can get police Speed Trap alerts via Google Maps straight up on CarPlay?

Agree - it needs to be on CarPlay to make it worthwhile. Not sure what Google is waiting for???
