Due to the well-known GPU issue, my MacBook Pro 17” Late 2011 did recently require a logic board replacement. To my dismay, and even with the “new” logic board, it keeps restarting itself with no action on my part.

“Randomly” might prove to be inaccurate though, considering that reading through the Console logs I see a pattern there: Firefox.

Now, Firefox might turn out to be the per-trigger and the reason rely on something else. For a start I guess I should try another browser and see if that keeps the behavior from showing.

I would appreciate any info that might shed light on it given that I brought the MacBook Pro to the Apple Service and they were not able to find anything suspicious.

Below, you’ll find the most recent panic reports as I understand this greatly affects the answer I will get. And for that, I’m very grateful.

my dismay, and even with the “new” logic board, it keeps restarting itself with no action on my part.
Unfortunately its not a new logic board but a previously failed one that was repaired. We're at a point where the broken ones are just getting recycled over and over. Some will give you more time, others may not. I'd say at this point, you may be better off bitting the bullet and replacing it.
