Is it possible to group your desktop stacks by file extension?

I see "Kind" an "Date" and "Tag," but something that let me stack them by .png and .docx and .pdf would be way more useful. When I stack them by "kind," I end up with all the .png and .docx and .pdf in one lump. Is that the way it is supposed to work?

What is the name of that lump?

In this Appleinsider video, https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/06/09/how-to-use-the-new-stacks-feature-in-macos-mojave, images and PDFs were in separate stacks.

Update: The lump was merely labeled "Other."

Note that I flick on "Other," when the stack expands, it shows me the materials lumped by image type. It just all reverts to a single stack rather than one stack for screenshots, one stack for documents, etc, which I'd greatly prefer.
