I'm not quite ready for publishing my final results but I'm so excited I had to say something now.

My machines specifications:

macOS 10.12.6

MSI X99A SLI Plus
INTEL Core i7 5930K
32GB DDR4 2400MHz
2 x nVidia GeForce GTX 1080 cards with the new bridge (for windows gaming)
2 x 480GB SATA3 SSD Drives plus two 3TB 7200RPM drives for bulk storage
TP Link TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCIe wireless card

  • Wireless works
  • The GeForce cards are working after a real struggle to get them running.
  • Audio is working out from the green 3.5mm jack in the back for my two channel speakers
  • Audio is working out from USB for my Logitech G930 headphones.
  • The App Store is working and I was able to update from 10.12.0 to 10.12.6 normally.
  • Going to sleep and waking up works.
  • VMWare Fusion is able to boot my Windows 10 install and after a setup the virtual machine is working.
I am so totally excited that finally I have my X99 Gaming/Personal Work machine running macOS! :D

I have a new BCM94360CD/BCM94331CD to PCI-e 1X Adapter for hackintosh and PC coming to plug in the Broadcom Wireless AC and Bluetooth adapter to replace the TP Link wireless N in the next week or so.

I'm going to keep testing and grab screen shots.

Running into issues. I had the graphics working exactly one time. Then I rebooted to try and get the temperature monitoring working and I haven't been able to get the graphics to work without a black screen halfway through the progress bar with the Apple logo.

OMG the 10 series cards are a royal pain I the butt.

Does the MacOS recognise both NVIDIA cards ?

I have quite similar config but my graphics card it's a Radeon Pro Duo, but I didn't tried Hackintosh yet

I figured out my issue. Somehow the lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext disappeared from my Library/Extensions folder. I used Kext Wizard to put them back and rebooted. I've since rebooted the machine three times and it has booted up perfectly, plus it awoke from sleep this morning. I'm pretty happy right now.

Now starts the benching. Currently I'm running the machine at stock speeds.

Attached are the benchmark results of my hackintosh. I overclocked it to 4.5GHz through the BIOS at the time of this testing but for whatever reason it is reporting 3.5GHz in macOS.

So far the machine is proving to be very stable. It's even playing iTunes movies and TV shows after some tweaks to the system.

Edit:

For anyone interested in how my 5930K based system compares to a stock Late 2015 iMac here is a comparison.

iMac Specifications (all setting stock, no overclocking):

Intel Core i7-6700K
32GB DDR3 1867MHz Dual Channel
AMD R9 395X
1TB SSD
