Hi All Rumors

Again me with my curiosity :)

I have Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD in PCIe adapter. And in Mac pro 5.1 I have Max 1400/1500MBsec write /read speeds due to Mac pro

Pcie slot limitation. Ok I can live with this.

But when I insert the same Adapter in Magma 3T chassis I have Max 800/900MB/sec with same SSD? with Mac pro 6.1?

Can Thunderbolt 2 troughput go upper than 1000MB/sec is my question?

Any suggestion is welcome?

Maybe change the port and try again?
There are 3 TB busses I think.
I'm not sure if this picture and it's logic is right, because there are differing testimonies about HDMI eating the bus0 bandwidth. But surely you can try it.

there's a dipswitch inside the magma eb3t [on the backplane]. make sure it's set to pcie 2.0 link speeds (NOT PCIE 1.0)

ALSO - SEE EB3T MANUAL if still confused

theoretically, you've got a maximum of PCI 3 x4 on a TB2 port, Vs PCI 2 x16 on a 5,1 slot, so your TB port has ~half the maximum bandwidth of your 5,1's x16 slots.
