Handoff between 10.11dp3 & 8.4

Cannot get handoff to work between 2014 rMBP with 10.11dp3 on and iPhone 6 running iOS 8.4.
I have logged out of icloud on both and logged back in with restarts but still no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

Can anyone confirm that handoff does not work between a beta and a public release?

It should work. Sometimes, getting handoff to kick in can involve several logging in and out of iCloud on Mac / iPhone. And a lot of times, it can take several minutes before handoff starts, after you see Airdrop is now active.
