Has Anyone Gotten brew install python or brew install node working?

I get the error message:

configure: error: The pkg-config script could not be found or is too old. Make sure it
is in your PATH or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable to the full
path to pkg-config.

I set the PKG_CONFIG variable to the full path, so guessing pkg-config will need to be update for Mojave before I can install python 3 or node?

Edit: Note that I was able to install python3 and node via downloading the installer, just troubleshooting brew.

Probably temporary incompatibility error, as you have mentioned. Have you tried other package manager, such as MacPorts?

Does Tk work OK, btw? Any problems?
