Has anyone used Obenauf leather oil on their leather bands?

i just ordered the leather classic buckle and was wondering if I should apply obenauf on the band. I use this for my leather shoes such as the wolverine 1000 mile, some AE dress shoes etc, but not sure if I should use it on a watch.

I have not used Obenauf specifically. I would say any quality leather conditioner, oil or cleaner would be recommended.
