Yesterday I had another respring, but the issue isn't serious at all (it has happened 5 times in two years). As far as I'm aware, it has happened at least until iOS 9.3.4 (this is the version I'm still running), maybe on iOS 9.3.5, and there's a report on this thread: (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ipad-pro-9-7-random-reboots.1965832/) that it still happened on iOS 10, but was fixed by a restore.
I was just curious to know, has Apple fixed this? In my case, it isn't serious at all, but I was wondering if the issue is still present.
Edit: here's another thread from the Apple forums, a few days after launch on iOS 9 as well: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7531685.

Ahh man I remember when this was happening when my iPad was new! Luckily, this was fixed a long time ago! Definitely in the early iOS 10 days :)

Thanks for your answer! Glad it's already sorted.

Ideal ipad line up:

1) Low cost 9.7” ipad with bezels & pencil support

2) Bezel-less 12.9” ipad pro
3) Bezel-less 11” ipad pro
4) Bezel-less 8.5” ipad mini with pencil support. (Wether it’s labeled pro or not doesn’t matter, but would be a great addition to the line up).
