Why must u sign to HBO via the app, since there is a link right underneath it "Restore using iTunes?"

On the Apple TV I do not enter username password, since i'm billed via iTunes and signed in anyway...

However on iOS, although i'm signed into the same account, the "Restore iTunes ?" link pulls up the login anyway to sign in via HBO.

Can't u use iTunes to restore from the app too?
