Was doing a bit of browsing in my local Sony store and was watching their new advert extolling the virtues of Sony HD TV’s with the tag-line “Colour like.no.other.”.

It’s a great advert that I’d already seen on TV, the one where thousands of brightly coloured rubber balls are sent down a San Francisco (I think) street. It looks great, although I can’t help thinking of Skittles rather than TV’s when I see it.

Anyway while I’m there in the store surrounded by dozens of Sony HD TV’s and camcorders and VAIO’s etc. the ‘making-of’ the advert is being played on all the screens and two things stood out.

1) They didn’t use CGI’s for the balls bouncing down the street they actually filmed it for real!
2) The production was done without a Sony VAIO in sight. Anyone care to take a guess what Sony used to produce their new ad-campaign?
