Was doing a bit of browsing in my local Sony store and was watching their new advert extolling the virtues of Sony HD TVs with the tag-line Colour like.no.other..
Its a great advert that Id already seen on TV, the one where thousands of brightly coloured rubber balls are sent down a San Francisco (I think) street. It looks great, although I cant help thinking of Skittles rather than TVs when I see it.
Anyway while Im there in the store surrounded by dozens of Sony HD TVs and camcorders and VAIOs etc. the making-of the advert is being played on all the screens and two things stood out.
1) They didnt use CGIs for the balls bouncing down the street they actually filmed it for real!
2) The production was done without a Sony VAIO in sight. Anyone care to take a guess what Sony used to produce their new ad-campaign?
