Hi Everyone

I've jus upgraded my 2006 Mac Pro to run El Capitan using Pike's excellent installer and the guides from this site. Almost everything works like a charm but i'm struggling with the GPU.
I bought a ATI Radeon HD 5770 off Ebay with the power lead but I can't get the mac to recognise it.
The fan spins on the card and the red LED on the card lights up for a second but when I look at the PCI utility only the stock Nvidia card shows up.
I've tried changing slots and the swiping the socket on the board but no luck.
Is it a faulty graphics card?

Many thanks.

Hi bobcat,

i'm new here.

i tested my ati card in an PC. I'm not sure if you have this option.
And it only works in a pc if the ATI Card has no Mac Firmware.

I still have the problem that the El C won't boot and i'm also searching for a possible solution

Cheers
Kai
