I've got a new Philips TV (OLED 4K Ambilight TV 55OLED708/12) and hooked it up to my Mac Pro 7,1 through the HDMI port of its W6800 (original Apple MPX module).
The TV is supposed to support HDR content (and when connecting an Apple TV 4K to it, HDR works fine, the TV actually shows some popup when HDR content is played back).
I understood macOS would show an HDR option for connected displays in System Settings > Display, but such setting isn't there. Tried on both latest versions of Ventura and Sonoma.
I aim to use this setup for casual gaming a bit, like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which has its own setting to render the game in HDR – but also there the option is greyed out, assuming the game gets info from macOS its not supported…
Any idea, or perhaps someone had a similar setup/issue and got this working?
