iPhone 15 Pro Headphone icon in status bar even when Beats Studio pro powered off

Have a weird issue that isn’t really affecting anything but just wondering if anyone knows what it means.

I just got the Beats Studio pro, when I turn them on everything works perfect. No issues. But when I turn them off and put them away in the case, my phone continues to show a headphone icon when I swipe down from the top right.

iPhone 15 pro on whatever the latest is 17.1.2 or something.

It does not affect audio at all. Audio still plays from my phone speakers. But the icon is still there. Anyone know why?

Anyone? Bueller?

I discovered when on a call, and the icon is still there, I can send calls to it. So I’m assuming it’s some sort of “it’s not quite off for real” and can be activated via software for calls.

Kinda neat I suppose, although I sorta prefer when things are off, they’re off.
