Why would it be that if my wife, with a newish iPhone SE and me, with an iPhone 11, go for a walk, each health app reports a different distance walked? Not just by a little but a significant amount?

Interested in others’ input here too. My husband and I experience the same issue. Same iPhones, watch, distance sometimes different by almost half a mile.

Its never been accurate on any iPhone. It is fairly repeatable on the same device so it’s useful in that respect. The iPhone pedometer will never match up in steps with a dedicated belt worn pedometer but is useful as a rough gauge.
