I have several devices that I am trying to sync. On my MacBook Air, I cannot get holidays or birthdays to show up. Tried deleting, unchecking etc. but no joy. Looks like this:

Using Monterey 12.4

1. Is there a tutorial on this?
2. What other events can be shown?
3. How can I sync only this calendar on my other devices?

Any and all help appreciated.

Birthdays must be entered in the Contacts app. Then they will appear in Calendar. US Holidays is a subscription - make sure it is subscribed by showing it in the left panel, then ctrl-clicking on it, and choosing "Subscription Settings." Mine is subscribed to https://calendars.icloud.com/holidays/us_en-us.ics

Thanks Artiste212

Entered my b'day in contacts but it still does not show up in calendar.

Also tried your link for holidays, but still no joy.

Tried setting up a new calendar, but still no joy

Any other suggestions?

When you display the left column with all the calendars, are "Birthdays" and "US holidays" both checked?

Yes, checked and unchecked as shown in the image - many times
Also did the following with no joy:
1. Made calendar public
2. verified that calendar is not read only
3. Reloaded holiday subscription
4. Siri can find my b'day but calendar cannot.
5. Tried Apple user guide > trouble shooting but still no joy. here

Sounds like you did all the usual stuff.

Do you sync this calendar with one on an iPhone or iPad, or other Mac?

Was the calendar working a while ago? If so, you might try replacing the ~library/calendars folder with an earlier version from Time Machine when it last worked. But I'd suggest you keep a copy of the current folder in case it doesn't work.
