I've been able to run most of what I want/need using Whisky, but there is one application that I cannot figure out how to run no matter how long a search online. I don't have much experience or knowledge about Wine so if somebody more knowledgeable can get the application running I would be so very thankful.

The application is the freeware version of Blu-Disc Studio; Blu-Disc Studio Lite 1.0.10. I heard it was good at making custom menu blu-ray discs, but I can't even try it. It can be found here at the bottom of the page under "Other downloads".

Please help. My goal is to create blu-rays with custom menus that are more than just a pretty background and some simple buttons.

Thank you for any help.

There's no guarantee a program will run with Wine. If it's really important you might want to look into using a VM like parallels.

Whisky is not made from Wine :)
Whisky uses Apple’s Game Porting Toolkit (GPTK).

I’ve tried Blu-Disc Studio Lite in CrossOver 23.6.0, that uses Wine, and it doesn’t run on AppleSilicon, but it runs on Intel.
The difference might be due to the app’s requirement for .NET Framework 4.0 or higher.
Before paying 100$ to Paralles, I suggest trying UTM https://github.com/utmapp/UTM/releases
and CrystalFetch https://github.com/TuringSoftware/CrystalFetch

Thank you! I've heard of UTM, but never got into getting it to run. Guess I've got a reason to try it now. Thank you for the links too!

Thank you for explaining what it might've been getting stuck on and possible options for me. I've been banging my head against a wall forever. Seriously, thank you.

p.s. oohhh… I guess I misunderstood Whisky. Sorry. 😅 This is new-ish territory for me so thanks for pointing that out too. 😉
