Hi guys,

I wanted to install Sierra, on my 15", core 2 duo, 2.4GHz, 4GB macbook pro, but apparently it is not possible. I believe I can install El Capitan.

So, this happens:

1- I downloaded El Capitan from this page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206886 and I got a 6.2GB file.

2 - Double clicking on it I get installMacOSX.pkg

3 - Open it and I get the "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed"

4 - I click CONTINUE and get a "This will take 7MB of space on your computer"

5 - I click install, insert my password, it installs something (a couple minutes) and then it says "THE INSTALLATION WAS SUCCESFULL"

6 - I click "CLOSE" and nothing happens...

Can you guys help me out?

Thanks

Follow Step 6 carefully.
The "Install OS X El Capitan" app will be in the "Applications" folder. Double click it to begin El Capitan installation.
