Would appreciate your help

When I go to send an email in iOS / iPadOS (Mac is ok)
the one person I email the most never appears in the “recents” …. When I go to enter the address

Hard to explain, see attached

This person used to be there (he uses hotmail) but the last few months …..
….. all my other recently used people are there …. But not this one person,
does anyone have any advice?

thanks in advance

Is it because my post was too vague or am I the only person with this problem?

This is based on how often you use your contacts.

If you talk a lot more to other people, then you won't see this contact anymore.

Thank you for the reply,
….. but thats the point. This the person I mail the most by far. Since I posted this I have noticed that he comes up on my iPhone but still not in my two iPads
(I didn’t do anything)

Suggestions are from Siri, and Siri is locally processed.

Do you handle this user on your ipads as well?

They are in your Contacts app and contacts are suppose to sync via iCloud.

I always use the app from Share menu, never the person even though they’re there. Mac Mail has a cache of recents that can cause problems or shows out of date items.

I’d turn off sync contacts in iCloud, then clear the list and force it to rebuild. Then turn sync back on. If possible.

Thanks very much for that. Tried it, I don’t think it made any difference
