on my internet at home (at&t yahoo) my safari on my iphone works perfectly. but at my apartment (I believe it's cable, not sure), safari hangs on certain websites. it loads google fast. yahoo loads slower than usual. and on a lot of websites like hackint0sh, macrumors, televisionwithoutpity, it never fully loads (aka hangs).

and youtube takes FOREVER to load a full clip.

can someone please tell me why??!! is it due to the router? ports? I even tried opendns on my iphone as well.

please help!

Welcome to mobile browsing.
All these things are normal.
Take Macrumors for example.
When you come here, you are also hitting several advertising websites as well. (Google Ads comes to mind).
A lag in ANY one of them will cause the site to load slower.
Doesn't matter if you're on WiFi or EDGE.
Your ISP may also be getting slammed as well.
With a cable modem, you share bandwidth with other users in you neighborhood.
With a dedicated connection (DSL, ADSL, VDSL, etc...) you typically don't run into those types of bandwidth sharing issues as your connection to your ISP is not shared with your neighbors.
