Hi, I've just bought a Seagate 120 sata for my macbook and was just swapping it out and got a bit worried. There is a tab on the suplied drive and none on the new. Do I need to swap the casing on the exisitng so as to have a tab on the Seagate or can I just pop it in. How will I get the drive out with no tab? Thanks.

You answered your own question.

Swap the drive tray from the old one to the new one. If you don't, you risk losing warranty from both seagate and apple if something goes wrong, because you didn't perform the upgrade properly.

Do it right, get a torx screwdriver, and swap everything properly.
