Hi All.

Where can I go to find a good resource on applescripts.

This is what I'm trying to do.

Take a picture using a camera phone on the T-Mobile network.

Email the picture to myself. Have mail receive the email, then applye RULE that launches an applescript.

Have the applescript save the photo attatchment in the email, then trigger my ftp program to FTP it to a predertimined website.

So then it will automatically be posted on a site all from the cell phone.

Thanks for your ideas!!!!

Try the oReilly network. They have an online developers center with good introductions to applescript.

Also I found "Applescript for the Internet–Visual Quickstart Guide" an excellent book for learning Applescript and particularly controlling the type of apps that you talk about. This is old and covers sys8.5, but much of it still applies to OSX. Available on Amazon. There is an OSX version for applications available at peachpit press

The key is learning syntax, and what classes, objects and properties are. Then you will be able to read and understand the application dictionaries and easily start controlling your apps.
