I have the High Sierra OS on my 2010 Macbook. I am trying to load Garageband on it, and the Apple App Store says I cant. I have to consider an older version, so wonder if the copies on iLife 06, iLife 09, or iLife 11 will be compatible with it? If not does anyone have any suggestions?

If you have previously "purchased" Garageband, go to the App Store>Sore>Pruchased menu item and select to install Garageband from there. It will ask whether you want to download an older version fit for High Sierra.

Thanks for your response. I haven't previously purchased it hence the enquiry. I'm alo new to the Apple Mac format. I purchased a copy of iLife 11 for £10 and fortunately that worked for me!

Many thanks again!
