Help With Garageband!??!?!

When i record playing the piano or any sound effect with the SUSTAIN ON it will not play the recording back with the sustain. This is very fustraiting because after i do an entire song and i go to hit play to hear it...the entire song dosent have the sustain on?!!?!?! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

are you sure you're recording the midi data from your sustain controller? check your midi data to verify.
