I've tried to get help on my topic on several forums/threads but with little feedback so far. The content of this thread suggests you guys may know the answers.
I need to design a high quality, two speaker (no sub needed) sound system for use in multimedia presentations on the road. For whatever reasons, using the optical audio out (from MBP or Intel mini) w/ Toslink going into some type of small integrated amp powering 2 bookshelf sized monitors feels like the way to go. The room / audience size will be around 40 - 50 people max. The audio content will be varied - waves breaking, jet fighters, voice, background music, and it would be great if I could run my voice in through a wireless microphone through the integrated amp. Again - this is for use on the road so weight and size issues are important.
Your help and suggestions would be appreciated.
