Noticed that even though I have installed it, it is still on the main page of the App store for "download". I can't remember from prior OS updates if it is still listed with a download button vs. a reference to installed?

Same here... I can't remember how Sierra handled this though.

It still shows as downloadable because after you install the operating system it deletes it from your application folder. This way you can re-download it if you want.

If you download it again, and then when it opens just close it. Then if you go back to the app store the download button will be changed to open.
