so last night i updated to high sierra on my macbook pro mid-2010.
i had no issues and did a bit of work. everything went fine.
today, however, i can't open finder without instantly getting the "beachball of death".
there's literally no folder i can open. spotlight doesn't show any folders, no apps, nothing.
i can't even open terminal. only those apps in my dock are working.
in safe mode i can browse through all my folders.
i did a PRAM reset, trashed the spotlight .plist in safe mode, but no change whatsoever.
what happened?
