I did the upgrade, not a clean install as I got this nMP only last week
and was waiting for High Sierra before loading it with all my apps.

Upgrade was easy and fast.
I had some problems with the wifi, it was connected and I could see the computer on other macs
but I could not get on the internet.

Firefox is extremely slow, I usually use the 3 browers for different needs.
Safari is usable.
I'm installing Chrome.

I got the new file system as expected with an SSD.
Boot time is blazing fast x10 what sierra was, funny because most have the opposite experience.

What I called the Ati glitch is gone. In boot there is a short purple moment.
I had It in El Capitan with Ati cards in cMP, when I put in the GTX 680 It was gone.
Same glitch was in Sierra with the nMP ati cards.

My nvidia macs, cMP 1,1, Macbook Pro, Alu Macbook never had it.

My experience so far.

I use about 5GB ram with just the OS and browser, could not be a good OS
for macs with 4gb.

We have a 11" 2013 Air with 4GB still on Mavericks,
wanting to put something more recent on it but unsure which one.
Mavericks is pretty badass, except it is becoming vintage.
