High Sierra release still installs iTunes 12.6.2

Somebody had asked about this, apparently concerned that iTunes 12.7 removes the app store. However, I couldn't remember or find which thread it was in so I would start a new thread.

Well, I just did a full clean install of macOS 10.13 High Sierra (release version 17A365, not GM) and the iTunes I have installed is 12.6.2.

Some people had claimed it was 12.7 but I suspect they had auto-update on or something and had updated to 12.7 without knowing it.

Yes, but High Sierra was released on Sept. 25 (yesterday, when I downloaded it), and it still installs iTunes 12.6.2 for a clean install.

Understand. I was just stating when it was released so that others who thought it installed with HS would know.
