Homekit and iPhone Restore

Is there anything special I need to do for Homekit if I am restoring an iPhone as new?

I'm planning on just restoring the iPhone as new, then logging into iCloud, installing necessary apps, then pairing my Apple Watch up.

How will it work for my thermostat, smoke detectors, etc.?
