HomeKit has barely been mentioned with the iOS 8 launch. Not much info on API's and what companies are taking advantage of it. Does anyone have more info on it and what is currently out there or in process? Really interested as I have a Nest thermostat, Philips Hue system, DropCam (now owned by Nest/Google), and Kēvo deadbolts.

I was really hoping Apple would have surprised the hell out of us and introduced some sort of home system. That market is such a hodgepodge of stuff right now.

There's so much potential for bridging the gap with all this new tech. I was really excited to try out Siri for HomeKit during beta testing. Now that it's out, disappointed in the lack of news. Hopefully soon.

Is homekit actually out>?

I'm pretty confused by homekit... Is it out? I don't think theres ANY product out for it currently, correct? Maybe it'll come out with 8.1... Can someone let me know if its out! Thanks

Was looking forward to saying "hey siri I'm going bed" and all my lights go into a 5 minute off timer, or "hey siri I'm going toilet/I can't sleep" in the middle of the night and siri turns all my lights to red so I don't get blinded. At this point i'd settle for a widget in control centre. Come on hue team what have you been doing all these months?
