What's the status on HomeKit? It'll be a year this June since announcement, Apple settled MiFi requirements in December, yet nothing has come of it. I realize it's up to third party developers and products to update and integrate, however the AppleTV is acting as a "hub", and most devices (i.e. Philips Hue) are already hardware compliant.
