Is the audio quality of HomePod mini likely to be better than a MacBook Pro or iPad?

I would say yes with near certainty, simply due to the size of the drivers.

I’m just hoping two Minis will work well as a suitable upgrade from my tv speakers using Apple TV. I know it won’t be as great as a fancy sound bar, but better than stock tv speakers is all I want and ideally not for $600 for two standard HomePods.

Why wouldn’t you just get a single HomePod?

I like the size of the Mini for my setup and assumed a stereo pair would be better in some way. But now I am thinking about the original HomePod or even a pair of them.

Does anyone know what size the driver is? Apple website doesn’t say and I haven’t seen anything reported anywhere else. Big HomePod has 4” so maybe it’s 2.5”?

Like others the HomePod mini is making me want the OG home pod and I never even considered it before.
