Hi everyone,

Just got a brand new HomePod, set it up, updated the firmware and now I already have a really annoying problem. Steps to reproduce the issue for me:

1.) Tell Siri to play a song
2.) Tell Siri to stop
3.) Then when I get near the HomePod I hear a very quiet white noise sound (but I guess that's normal?)
4.) After about 2 minutes I always hear a loud popping noise
5.) Interestingly then the white noise is completely gone

Any advice on this? Should I send the HomePod back and get another one?

Thanks and best wishes
Chris

Hiya ...

I had this issue for aaaaaages, and I didn't do anything about it. I didn't mind it - it reminded me of the analogue days. Then one day it started farting and dying. Check it out:

Don't sit on it - take it back if you still have the time.
