As the title says, how are you going to take care of your new $999 iPhone with glass on front and back and an incredibly Xpensive OLED display?

My personal take is that I have never had covers, Panzer glass or anything on my iPhones as I think they lose their premium feel. However, as I broke the display on my current iPhone after 1 month (only in the corner, does not cover the visible display), I have kind of changed my mind.

I thought about getting a sleeve or use a skin+Panzer glass. I am not really fond of covers as I have had one on my iPad Air 2 ever since I bought it - and as I am used to it now, it will never come off hehe..

Will inductive charging work through a skin or cover? And can you charge the phone the opposite way, i.e. with display down?

Case (usually go third party, but the Apple Silicon case is making its way to the top of my list; a minimalist, open bottom edge appeals as swiping up needs to be unhindered by a case lip more than ever imo).

I'm going to get a glass screen protector and a case. I've got the Orzly glass screen protector and several Spigen clear cases with a Caudabe Lucid clear case on the way. I'll see what case and screen protector combination works the best once I get the phone.

I think I will get the Apple Folio case that’s advertised on their website.

I intend to use $1.25 TPU cases and glass protectors from AliExpress.

[doublepost=1507225811][/doublepost]whatever case you decide on be sure that it does not interfere with the swiping Cases with even the smallest lip may be a problem

Already got a Caudabe Sheath and will be slapping that on my X the day I get it. Not taking chances with a glass backed phone. Plus the Sheath looks awesome in my opinion.

Insurance and I will make sure to use the phone so the next owner does not get to use it in its pristine glory.

probably Apple leather case in the color they're calling cosmos blue..
assuming they'll have a version for the X

..i've used one of these for a 5s and a 6s.. the 5s version lasted me about 18months.. the 6s is still good after two years (and surprisingly, the phone itself is still good even though i've dropped it at least 50 times)..

i like how they feel and i like the amount of protection they provide (ie- 'some' protection).

so yeah, i'll probably just keep that going since i haven't had a reason to look elsewhere.
