Hello everyone.

For school I need to make Windows 10 and 11 VM's and run Windows Server. The program we use is VMware workstation Pro. I have tried installing VMware on Parallels, but when I download and open VMware, it says that the architecture is not supported.

Does anyone know a way to run Windows and Windows Server on a Apple Silicon Mac without and compatibility issues?

I’m afraid you can’t as you can only run the Arm version of Windows on Apple Silicon Macs

Both VMware and Parallels will let you run Windows 11 on Apple Silicon.

Windows Server 2025 for ARM was only released a few weeks ago, and isn’t officially supported yet. It’s possible to get it working, but it’s not as simple as Windows 11 yet.

VMware Fusion 13.5 should work. Check that you’ve downloaded the correct version.

M1 is not powerful enough, otherwise Qemu under emulation might work and with less compatibility issues.
