Just out of curiosity. We just watched the iPad Air receive a pretty hefty update. Is it in the cards for the iPad Mini, as well?

According to MacRumors Buyer’s Guide, the iPad Mini is released every 541 days on average, and for the past two generations, there’s been 911 days and 922 days since its last update.

It’s only been 177 days since the iPad Mini was last updated. So, no, do not expect an update anytime soon.

Why should it? Its not an iPhone and it also doesnt have any viable competition in the market, so I see no reason for Apple to update it.
Also, AFAIK, its already very good tablet without performance issues, aside from some jelly scrolling issues, but that could be updated quietly on current model, if Apple decided that its worth rectifying, which they probably wont.

Zero. The Mini is a side gig for Apple. Two years seems the norm. And even then, there is no gurantee the 6 won't be the last Mini. Apple just doesn't seem enthusiastic about it.
