Hello, I have a drive containing a bootable backup of the hard drive of my old MacBook Pro. I need to access some of the files that live in the user/library directory of the back up drive.

I've tried turning on hidden folders and turning on the user library but that doesnt seem to work for the external drive.

Any ideas?

ny somewhere
am not home (i've done this myself); think i typed an address in the Go to Folder window (under the Go menu); google the issue!

but the reason i'm posting: once you've accessed the backup user library...make an ALIAS for it, keep that somewhere (i keep it ON my backup drive).

then next time u need access, it's as simple as clicking on the alias (also useful, for me, when i want to get to that folder THRU an app 'open with' window)...
