How do I block updating two apps I own in App Store?

I do not want to see update alerts on 2 non-apple apps I use in Monterey? I want to continue to see all other app update alerts.

Is there a way to stop seeing these two app alerts?

I don’t think you can.

I’ve tried to delete the _MASReceipt folder from an App Store app and its associated receipts from /private/var/db/receipts/, but it still shows up in the Updates section of the App Store. I’m not sure if notifications about the available update will be displayed again.

The app I don’t want to update at the moment is AdBlock Pro for Safari https://apps.apple.com/app/adblock-pro-for-safari/id1018301773 because the latest version doesn’t work properly.

If I recall correctly, you can Hide the purchase, which will, well, hide it.

App Store > You Apple ID to get purchase list. Hover over program/app to get three dots, "Hide".

Finally, I hid the two app purchases in my account. Rebooting did not stop the Apple Store from reminding me these two apps need updating.

App Store shows available updates even if you are not signed in, so hiding apps from the purchase list isn’t going to do anything in that regard.
