I was going on a plane trip a few weeks ago and I wanted to bring music on the plane. That should be easy since I have a spanking new iPhone 6 with 64gb of memory. Ok so here’s me trying to sync my iTunes library to my phone but I am looking through the iTunes iPhone interface and there’s button, no switch, no checkbox.

Siri was no help either. I googled, no success. I saw some workarounds where you disable iTunes Match but there must be a better way.

Does Apple assume that streaming is the future, and the future is the present, therefore I have no need for storing MP3s locally anymore? Are local-storage iPods like a vintage, ironic, old-fashioned thing that only hipsters do now? How do I trick the iPhone into letting me hold onto the ways of the past?

All I want to do is click Autofill like I did with my Shuffle 1st Generation where it fills the empty space with MP3s.
