A friend has updated their profile picture to one of those cartoon type images whose name I know but can't think of at the moment. I hate those things and don't want to update it on my phone. Every time I get a message from them I see this

IMG_2344.jpeg

I don't want to see it again or to update the contact. Looks easy to get rid of doesn't it, except the X doesn't work. Apple seems to be pushing these images as I haven't got a message like this when someone changes their photo.

Any ideas please on how to stop it appearing?

What if you tried clicking the X on the right of your screenshot?

I have the same issue. I have selected the profile pics I want of people yet it keeps suggesting the update but I click the x and it’s there again later on.

The issue Ish has described is still a problem... and it is more than 2 years later...
Has anyone found a solution to removing the suggestion of changing the photo OR getting rid of it by making that "broken X" work?
