How do I get USB 2.0 to work on Non-OSX machines?

Well, as you guessed by the subject, I have a question about USB 2.0.
I want to install USB 2.0 but it isn't supported on non OSX running computers. Does anyone know if their is a way to get USB 2.0 to work?

Also, if I do put the card in the machine, will it have at least USB 1.0 support? Thanks in advance.
