How do I know people can't get into my Gallery?

I thought I'd read a while ago that people can access other peoples Galleries on MM if they're not locked or something like this?
I don't have any photos up as yet, but if I do, I'd like to know if this is true or not?

I'm surprise Apple still hasn't provided an option to password-protect albums via the MM web site.

How do Windows users put passwords on their galleries since there is no iMovie or iPhoto for Windows?
