iPod how do I share my itune files with another user on my computer

I have itune files which another user on our home computer wants to share I tried a few things but the files don't appear in his user folder. Any suggestions?

iTunes - preferences - sharing - share my music (library or playlists).

You must be logged in, and iTunes running for the music to be shared.

You could probbly also do this by relocating your iTunes music folder to harddrive - users - shared as well

Has anyone done this? I have a friend who has 2 accounts on her IMAC her daughter keeps buying itms songs. She sees them when she shares the music. But can't download it to the IPod and vice versa (they have two pods).. Any recommendation???
